At the request of Petra Šinová, President of the Czech Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons (KVL ČR), Rector Prof. Alois Nečas welcomed a delegation from Croatia to the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno. The delegation included the management of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb, representatives of the Croatian Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons, and practising veterinarians. The Rector presented the history, traditions, and present state of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno to his foreign colleagues and showed them around the university campus. The tour included, among other things, an introduction to the teaching system, teaching facilities, and the support provided to students by the university in the course of their studies, during which the guests visited the university's Study and Information Centre and the university library. The main interest of our Croatian colleagues was focused on the issues of clinical veterinary education at the Dog and Cat Clinic, the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic, and the Equine Clinic. The visitors also greatly appreciated the modern teaching Simulation Centre of the Dog and Cat Clinic, which meets the demanding requirements for teaching veterinary medicine on an international scale. Foreign guests, as well as the president of the KVL ČR, expressed their admiration for the high quality of veterinary medicine education at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno and the high level of clinical veterinary education, including its state-of-the-art facilities and equipment at VETUNI.
